The students of Velammal reach out as good
Samaritans to all S.O.S calls with unfettered
enthusiasm. Over the years, they have been
extending their unflinching support, be it donations,
or service in cash or kind.
 Rs.13,00,000/- cash (13 lakhs) for Tsunami
Relief Fund.
Rs.3,00,000/- cash (3 lakhs) for Kargil Relief
Fund.
20 tonnes of rice for Orissa Relief Fund.
Rs.3,00,000/- cash (3 lakhs) and medicines worth
Rs.2,50,000/- (2.5 lakhs) for Gujarat Relief
Fund.
Cycle rally by 9 NCC students from Chennai to
Madurai (490 km) to create an awareness on
'Organ Donation'.
Skating expedition from Chennai to Pondicherry
(158 km) by 5 year old Master K. Sri
Praneshwaran to spread the message on
"Communal Harmony".
Bike expedition from Chennai to Kanyakumari
(780 km.) by Ms. Shirley to spread the message on
"Rain Water Harvesting".
Miss. Nandhini of Std.XI penned her thoughts
continuously for 24 hours at Gandhi Mandapam
to glorify the greatness of The Mahatma.
Miss. Priyanka Ravi of Std.IV spoke continuously
for two hours on the topic Population of India.
100 sea sand turtles were engraved to create an
awareness on " SAVE SEA TURTLES"
Internationally acclaimed Master. Budhia Singh
along with 2000 students went on a Marathon to
create an awareness on "Eye Donation".
Historic journey on cycle by four year old Master

to spread the theme "Grow more trees"

Construction of a day-care centre at
Neduvenkuppam village, Panchetti worth
Rs.1,00,000/- (1 lakh).
Hundred and four (104) Velammalians went on
roller skates from Anna Nagar Rountana to
Thirumangalam to spread the message "Wear
Helmets".
